Grant is THREE!!

My big boy is three! Here's what he's up to:
Height: 39.5 inches (Up from 37 inches at age 2) = 90%

Weight: 37.2 lbs. (Up from 34 lbs at age 2) = 90-95%

Potty: Accidents are VERY rare. When they happen, it's usually at nap time. Grant still wears a Pull-Up to bed.
Clothing: 3T & 4T tops and 3T bottoms

Sleeping: Sleeps about 10.5 hours now. :( 7:45 pm-6:15 am is the norm. One good 2 hour nap though.

Grant-isms: The child canNOT say motorcycle. He ALWAYS says motorbicycle. Derek has been working with him, but it's not changing! I think it's adorable and not worth changing! :)

He also says "Tomorrow tonight?" when he means later. I think he must be used to people correcting him - he says "tomorrow" and they say "tonight", so he just always puts them together. He still says "EARL-ee" instead of earlier.
"Not todayyyy. Maybe tomorrow!"

"I make a BIG poo poo." or "That's a LOT of pee pee!" or "Go away, Dada" when he wants some privacy in the bathroom.

"Bay-ed" = bed. "Tay-en" = Ten. "Oars" = Yours

"I show you Abby, okay?"
"That's a regular bus, Dada." or "That's a school bus, Dada."

He points out big trucks and when he sees a blue one (like Papa drives) he says "That's Papa's truck!"

I think he's going to be a Mapsco like his daddy. He knows his way to school and back. No matter which way you go, he points out the blue car wash on the way "where the car gets a bath." The car wash is not directly on the path every time, but he still finds it a block over from the light. After going to the donut store with Papa twice last weekend, he told us on our way back home when we passed it "The donut store is over day-er".
Favorites:

Food: Chicken Spaghetti, Bananas, Watermelon, Oranges... basically all fruit.
Movie: Cars 2 (but Cars, and all Toy Stories are runner ups) - and the latest addition is The Incredibles
Book: We're Going on a Bear Hunt. Knows all the words. Without the book. I actually recite it when he gets upset to calm him down.
Toy: Lightening McQueen & Mater. The boy ALWAYS wants to fix things. He pretends the fork from the play kitchen is a wrench and "fixes" the tires on his cars. And lately he's been "fixing" the Lego airplane (also from Cars) by taking it apart and putting it back together all crazy.
Milestones:
He can say the letters in his name and recognize it when written. He can't write it yet.

He can count to 20 in English and 15 in Spanish.

He can dress himself, but he still needs help with shirts.

We're behind on some of them. Like going to the dentist! But Grant will have dental coverage in September and since he's waited this long, I don't see the harm in waiting 3 more months.

We just started having him wipe himself. It will be GREAT to have only 2 bottoms to wipe! (mine and Abby's).
I love seeing him as a big brother. There are times he relishes it. When Abby repeats a word he says, we praise him because he taught Abby a new word. We also take the opportunity to emphasize that it's important for him to make good choices because Abby is learning from him. He's always eager to go into her room in the mornings and at least once a week asks to get in her crib to play. They both love it.
