Weekend happenings

Saturday morning started off with the Opening Day Parade for baseball. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it turns out it was corralling 3 and 4 year olds for about 1 hour longer than their attention span could hold.

The game went pretty well, especially considering the too-long parade that we survived before the game. Tia and Matthew came for a bit. Papa and Mimi came by too. After the game we ate at Rosa's with Papa and Mimi, came home for about 30 minutes, then headed out again for a birthday party. After the party we headed out again to watch the Final 4 with friends.

The kids actually played really well, especially considering how little they slept. Today was a lazy rainy day - laundry, cooking, and lots of playing.

Blastball - Let's go Mudcats!!

Today was the first practice for the Mudcats. Derek is coaching Grant's first year of tee ball. But it's called blastball and it's got even fewer rules than tee ball.

The practice was pretty predictable - several kids were late because the field is hard to find. Grant pointed out an airplane. Other boys played in dirt for about half of the practice. Another picked a dandelion.

Besides hitting and fielding, the kids practiced saying "1, 2, 3 - Mudcats!"

May 14 - Playing after Matthew's baseball game (they won).

May 18 - At the Byron Nelson. That's my co-worker up there in the orange rocking it.

May 19 - #dadhair. Why does she keep the headband on when Derek does it, but pulls it off when I do it (correctly)?!?

May 19 - Derek fears the phrase "I'm going to make her look ridiculous!" #swimcap

May 19 - Lola loved the bubbles more than the kids. #fatdog #mightdie

May 30 - Playing at Matthew's baseball game (they won). Yankees won the city championship!!
